Special workshop Art for Autism
From 2019 to 2021, the fund implemented activities to support children and adolescents with autism.
We have created two art workshops for children 7 to 12 years of age and for teenagers 13 years of age.
For the period 2019-2021 288 classes
(864 hours) were held
Program results:
Special workshop Art for Autism
for 7-12 year children
Purpose of classes:
• development of imagination and improvement of visual perception;
• improvement of fine motor skills;
• study of various drawing techniques;
• strengthening communication and social interaction;
• conducting preparatory work for future inclusion in the group for teenagers;
What have you learnt👨🏭👩🏭:
Group – Child
- language, communication and social skills;
- work in a mini group;
- color identification;
- counting;
- development of fine motor skills;
- use of scissors, cutting paper and cardboard;
- coloring with pencils, pastels, gouache and acrylic paint;
- use of glue and creation of applications from paper and various natural materials;
- the use of stamping, both conventional stamps and the use of natural materials;
- acquaintance with various drawing techniques including non-traditional with taking individual features of children into consideration.
Special workshop Art for Autism
for 13 years
Purpose of classes:
• formation of pre-professional skills;
• production of products (notebooks, postcards, calendars, textile bags, felt products, interior paintings);
• development of communication and social skills of adolescents with autism;
• supporting young talents with autism in self-expression through art.
What have you learnt🦸♂️🦸♀️:
- social skills: commenting, mutual questions, sympathetic statements, etc .;
- compliance with instructions and group instructions;
- categorization and associations;
- maximum independence, taking into account previously acquired skills;
- study of various painting techniques, use of art equipment;
- work and training in the independent use of binder and laminator, using the method - the chain of training;
- production of calendars and notebooks - from the beginning (creation of the cover) to the production of the final product;
- study of the peculiarities of working with felt and the initial mastery of the sewing machine and the manufacture of products with the physical support of an adult.
