I'm a child with cerebral palsy
Hi! When we meet, you will immediately notice me. I will be different from the majority. I have cerebral palsy and it is noticeable. My unusual movements give it away.
Looking at me, one might think that I am very unhappy and have always been so. I want you to know that this is absolutely not true. Like any other child, I can be made happy or sad. If people love me, pay attention to me and play with me, I am very happy. Then my strange movements cease to be so noticeable, for example, someone has a big nose, and I have a small one. It's easy to get used to.
Let me tell you about my diagnosis. The word "cerebral" means that the disorder occurred in the brain, and "palsy" means that muscle function is affected. I have these movements because my brain is not controlling my muscles properly.
